INSTRUCTION AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE HYDRATION OF PEATFOAM AGRICULTURAL FOAM

PRIOR TO HYDRATION

STEPS FOR CORRECT HYDRATION OF AGRICULTURAL FOAM

1. Hydration of the agricultural foam BY IMMERSION

We will deposit the agricultural foam Peatfoam in a high tray or bucket, where we will immerse or completely flood the agricultural foam peatfoam, after 30 to 60 seconds, remove the water and peatfoam will be ready to work.

2. Hydration of the agricultural foam BY IRRIGATION

1. Place the agricultural foam tray on a surface that has adequate drainage to prevent leftover water.

2. With a watering can, or a hose with diffuser (be careful not to apply too much pressure to the stream of water), we will completely saturate the agricultural foam, for this, we will always water from the top of the foam tray and a uniform way.

3. We will stop irrigation only when we check that the agricultural foam tray has completely hydrated. This will be evident when the foam we have placed on the work table obtains a uniform tone darker than the original. Make sure that there is no white spot, if you detect non-hydrated areas (white spots), continue to water until complete saturation of the agricultural foam tray.

CUTTING A BAD HYDRATED CUBE vs. HYDRATED

In the image above, you can see a poorly hydrated bucket (white areas) in front of another bucket of well hydrated agricultural foam. It is possible to observe that in the cube of the right (well hydrated), is not appreciated hardly white zones, has completely saturated the foam.
